Patient Comfort in the Dialysis Clinic

Hemodialysis patients spend a great deal of their time in the dialysis unit. Since patients are spending 10 or more hours per week in the clinic, it makes sense that they would want it to be a comfortable and welcoming environment.

There are restrictions on how much a clinic can do to improve the treatment atmosphere for a patient, such as financial restrictions, infection control and space limitations.

However, there are areas where a clinic can make cost-effective improvements to greatly improve the dialysis experience for a patient.
