ASD Healthcare Extends DaVita Distribution Contract

VALLEY FORGE, Pa.—ASD Healthcare, a business unit of AmerisourceBergen, said Nov. 17 that it has extended an exclusive pharmaceutical distribution agreement with DaVita Inc.

The new agreement is valued at more than $1 billion annually, according to ASD Healthcare

“ASD Healthcare has provided excellent customer service, has worked seamlessly with us and our pharmaceutical partners, and has a nationwide distribution network,” said Dennis Kogod, DaVita’s president —West. “We are pleased to continue to partner with ASD Healthcare as the distributor for our pharmaceutical needs.”

ASD Healthcare is one of the largest distributors of nephrology products in the United States. The company is also distributor of blood plasma products, flu vaccine and contrast media.

DaVita cares for more than 110,000 patients and manages more than 1,400 outpatient dialysis facilities and acute units in more than 700 hospitals.
