Cantel's president resigns

LITTLE FALLS, N.J.—Cantel Medical Corp. President and CEO R. Scott Jones, resigned from the company April 22. In the wake of the resignation, Cantel’s board created the Office of the Chairman and promoted chief operating officer and executive vice president Andrew A. Krakauer to president and a member of the Office of the Chairman. The newly created Office of the Chairman will include Charles M. Diker, Chairman of the Board, Krakauer and Seth R. Segel, senior vice president of Corporate Development. Krakauer has been Cantel’s COO since November 2004. Prior to joining Cantel, he served as President of the Ohmeda Medical Division of Instrumentarium / GE Healthcare. “Andy has done an outstanding job as COO, particularly in the creation and advancement of our Mar Cor Purification Division and the growth of our Specialty Packaging Division,” Diker said. “He was also a key participant in the acquisition and integration of Crosstex International. We are highly confident in Andy’s ability to grow our core infection prevention and control businesses and to help us expand through acquisitions and other growth opportunities.”
