Poll Results on the Voucher-Based Health Care System
Thanks to all of you who took the time to vote in our poll on how the voucher-based health care approach, presented by the Republican presidential ticket, would affect dialysis care. The results for the voucher in dialysis care were:
- 60 % of you believe that it would weaken access and quality of care
- 19% of you believe that it would strengthen access and quality of care
- 16% of you were not sure
- 5% of you said that it would make no difference
In a recent New York Times article brought up the controversial topic of death row inmates donating organs. Christian Longo, a death-row inmate, started a campaign, that was denied by the state of Oregon, to allow those on death row to donate their organs. Currently, no states allow this to happen due to many ethical issues.
