Dialysis Medicare Margins Tightening

Medicare margins for dialysis clinics fell for all providers in 2010, but they were much tighter for rural clinics and clinics not affiliated with DaVita or Fresenius.

QIP Performance Scores to be Posted

Dialysis clinics should be notified by Dec. 15 about their 2012 Performance Score Certificates (PSC), which must be posted in each facility in clear view of patients and caregivers.

CMS, NRAA to Start Testing HIE System

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the National Renal Administrators Association (NRAA) have started to test its health information exchange (HIE) that will allow all dialysis providers to batch submit their data to CROWNWeb, according to a Nov. 2 post on the Project CROWNWeb website.
