Founded in 1962, Northwest Kidney Centers was the first out-of-hospital dialysis program in the world and it is still a model in the field. Gifts from event sponsors and 374 attendees totaled $658,950. Joyce Jackson, president and CEO, welcomed guests to the gala and thanked them for their generous contributions to help advance Northwest Kidney Centers’ mission of patient care, education and research. The event capped a year of celebrations around the nonprofit organization’s 50th anniversary. Northwest Kidney Centers operates 14 dialysis clinics in Western Washington, educates the public about kidney health, and collaborates with UW Medicine in the Kidney Research Institute.
