Renal Solutions announces medical advisory board

WARRENDALE, Pa.--Medical device firm Renal Solution has put together a medical advisory board, which will give the company advice on medical issues, clinical use studies, product development, and market introduction.

Renal Solutions' medical director, Derrick Latos, MD, MACP, is the chairman of the medical advisory board. He is also a clinical professor of medicine at the West Virginia University School of Medicine and medical director of Wheeling Renal Care.

John Agar, MBBS, FRCP, FRACP, has also been added to the medical board. He is currently the director of nephrology and chief of service medicine at Barwon Health in Geelong, Australia. He is also a senior transplant physician at St. Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne as well as a clinical associate professor of medicine at the University of Melbourne.

The co-inventor of Renal Solutions Allient Sorbent Hemodialysis System, Stephen Ash, MD, FACP, is an additional member of the medical board. He also serves as HemoCleanse Inc. and Ash Access Technology's chairman of the board. Ash is the director of the Dialysis Center for Greater Lafeyette and a practicing nephrologist the Arnett Clinic in Lafeyette, Ind.

Rounding out the board is Robert Lockridge Jr., MD, who is the medical director of the University of Virginia -Lynchburg Dialysis Facility. He is also a partner of Lynchburg Nephrology Physicians and is a clinical associate professor of internal medicine at the University of Virginia School Health System.
