DALLAS—Dialysis provider U.S. Renal Care Inc. named Dr. Stan Lindenfeld to be its senior vice president and chief medical officer. Lindenfeld has more than 30 years of medical, dialysis and nephrology experience, according to U.S. Renal Care. "Stan Lindenfeld is well respected in the medical community and brings a deep dialysis background that will serve our physician partners, patients, and the company well; we are thrilled to welcome such an asset to our team," Christopher Brengard, CEO of U.S. Renal Care, said in a statement. As CMO Lindenfeld will be responsible for oversight of the clinical operations of the company, and for relationships with its affiliated and partner physicians. In addition, he will manage U.S. Renal Care's clinical quality improvement team. As a senior executive of the company, he will also help set and achieve the strategic goals for the company. U.S. Renal Care Inc. operates 55 dialysis centers in the south-central United States, caring for approximately 3,000 dialysis patients. Prior to joining U.S. Renal Care, Lindenfeld served as CMO and then CEO of Pentec Health, a provider of parenteral nutrition to dialysis patients. Previously, Lindenfeld served as senior vice president and CMO for DaVita (formerly Total Renal Care) from 1995 until 2000. During this time he oversaw all clinical program development and helped grow the Company from 37 facilities in the U.S. to more than 500 internationally.
