DALLAS—Dialysis provider U.S. Renal Care Inc. announced today that is has formed a joint venture with Eumana Home Dialysis Inc. in order to expand home dialysis services across its existing clinics.
Under the agreement, U.S. Renal Care acquired a majority interest in the assets of Eumana, which provides home hemodialysis, acute hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients in southeast Texas.
U.S. Renal Care plans to expand Eumana’s home dialysis service in other markets where it already operates. By adding these services in other markets, the dialysis provider said will be able to provide all dialysis options and satisfy patient choices in the rapidly growing home dialysis market segment.
Joint Commission-accredited Eumana Dialysis has been providing home and acute dialysis treatments since 1996 and currently serves patients in 12 counties in and around Houston. Eumana said each home dialysis patient has access to a full range of renal professionals, including nurses, dietitians and social workers.
U.S. Renal Care was founded in 2000 and focuses on partnerships with nephrologists to develop, acquire and operate dialysis centers. The company currently treats 2,600 dialysis patients in 45 clinics in Texas and Arkansas.
