MEDIA, Pa.—Dialysis provider Reliant Renal Care Inc. has expanded into Texas by acquiring Fort Worth Dialysis Associates, which has two dialysis clinics in the Fort Worth, Texas area.
The two clinics have 37 dialysis stations, and will have the capacity to serve more than 200 patients. There is also opportunity to immediately add an additional center in the area, according to Reliant Renal.
“We are pleased to be expanding our company in Texas with the opportunity of working with some very experienced nephrologists,” said Barbara Bednar, president and CEO of Reliant Renal Care. “This acquisition together with the ability to add a new center will allow the company to meet the needs of more patients while expanding the platform of the company. Our ability to provide partnership opportunities with the physician group will allow for more collaboration going forward and strengthen our ties with our physician partners.”
Reliant Renal announced its formation in January after receiving $50 million in private equity for acquisitions and development. In May, the dialysis provider announced plan to open a 12-station outpatient dialysis facility in Michigan.
