LAKEWOOD, Colo.—Renal Ventures Management, LLC said Jan. 30 that it has opened two new dialysis centers in Texas.

The Renal Center of the Hills, LLC will have 25 hemodialysis stations, as well as a home dialysis program. The Renal Center of Waterton, LLC will have 20 hemodialysis stations. Both of the new centers are co-venture partnerships with nephrologists.

Ira Epstein, DO, of North Texas Kidney Disease Associates (NTKDA) will act as the Medical Director of the Renal Center of the Hills, and Molly Bankhead, MD, of East Texas Nephrology Association will act as the Medical Director of the Renal Center of Waterton.

“The Renal Center of the Hills, LLC is our fifth center in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and further strengthens our franchise on numerous levels,” said Larry Chatfield, president and CEO of Renal Ventures. “Our ability to grow is dependant on the strong relationships we’ve developed with our physician co-venture partners. Dr. George Rojas and Dr. Bruce Baker of NTKDA have been very forward-thinking, using the opportunities provided by the success our previous joint ventures to grow their practice."

“The Renal Center of Waterton, LLC is our second center in Tyler, and it will help provide much needed care to underserved assisted living and nursing home patients,” said Javier Vergne-Morell, vice president of Business Development for Renal Ventures.  “Dr. Bankhead helped us identify this need, which further validates the positive impact that open collaboration with physicians can have on a community’s access to quality care.”
