SALT LAKE CITY—Hema Metrics added a new video on its Web site that helps dialysis providers better understand the new CMS Conditions of Coverage as they relate to fluid management. The video also provides an overview of how the Crit-Line Monitor can be used to assist in obtaining ideal dry weights while reducing hypertension and intra-dialytic symptoms.
"There is no doubt that adequate fluid management, trending and tracking of symptoms, as well as root-cause analysis, are top priorities that dialysis providers must assess," said Diana Hlebovy, director of clinical affairs for Hema Metrics. "CMS surveyors have already begun to cite clinics where hypertension and hypotension are not being adequately addressed."
