WASHINGTON—The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has placed a new warning on a Roche transplant drug about a type of anemia seen in some patients using the drug, according to a story by Reuters.

The updated prescribing information for Roche’s CellCept will discuss cases of pure red cell aplasia. In a letter to the FDA, Roche said that some PRCA cases were reversed when the CellCept dose was lowered or the patient stopped taking the drug.
