MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.—Satellite Healthcare Inc. has launched a Facebook fan page to help educate the way the world views kidney disease, the company said in a March 9 news release.

Satellite Healthcare encourages everyone to make World Kidney Day, March 11, the day they focus on their kidney health and invites them to learn more about the importance of their kidneys by visiting www.facebook.com/satellitehealthcare

This new Satellite Healthcare Facebook link is focused on providing the public with important educational facts about their kidneys. The site was created as part of an ongoing effort to educate the community about kidney disease and the therapy options available to patients affected with chronic kidney disease.

Fans of the site will also have the ability to view short videos about the roles kidneys play in overall health, as well as information about FREE Better LIFE  Wellness classes offered at Satellite Healthcare’s WellBound centers.

The FREE classes cover a variety of health information from nutritional education, exercise, healthy heart, diabetic foot checks and more.  Additionally on the site, there is an event section that will be updated regularly with activities happening in the areas where Satellite Healthcare has its centers.

“Community outreach and education about health options has played a vital part in developing Satellite Healthcare’s ongoing commitment to supporting the fight against Kidney disease,” said Kim Hernandez, Marketing Communications, Satellite Healthcare. “By launching this new kidney education link through the Facebook.com Web portal, we are now able to reach and educate a larger demographic population on the importance of their kidneys.”
