HOLLYWOOD, Fla.—Renal CarePartners announced June 16 the opening of its newest facility located in Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia facility is the company's first in Pennsylvania, and it offers 21 hemodialysis stations and peritoneal and home dialysis programs. Dr. Dianna Falkowitz is the medical director of the facility.
"We are extremely pleased to enter the state of Pennsylvania with our facility in Philadelphia. We feel very fortunate to be working with Dr. Falkowitz, an excellent and extremely patient-focused nephrologist,” said Orestes Lugo, president and CEO of Renal CarePartners. “We just completed our initial survey and had zero deficiencies, which is an outstanding accomplishment by staff of the facility. We will be providing both in center and home dialysis services to patients in the area.”
Renal CarePartners has 20 operations spanning 8 states and serves approximately 1,000 patients.
"The facility is stunning and our staff is of the highest competence,” said Falkowitz. “The unit has met or exceeded my highest expectations and I am looking forward to working with Renal CarePartners in providing an outstanding quality service to our patients."
“We are proud to partner with Dr. Falkowitz and honored that she chose RCP to open this state-of –the-art clinic for dialysis patients in the community. As evidenced by the results of our survey, we have assembled an exceptional group of highly qualified and experienced dialysis staff to provide the highest level of care to the patients we serve,” said James Spafford, Vice President of Clinical Operations.
Falkowitz also stated "I had been looking for a partner to build a facility in this area for some time. I selected Renal CarePartners because they were very responsive and physician focused and understood that above all, the patient comes first.”
RCP Chairman Milton Wallace, commented, "The opening of this new center is consistent with our strategic growth plans. This facility and Dr. Falkowitz are testaments to the type of quality focused, patient oriented relationships we are in search of with all of our partners. We will soon be opening our second facility in the state and we would like to develop and/or acquire additional facilities in Pennsylvania where we feel there are substantial growth opportunities. We are also in the construction stages for three additional clinics in other states which we expect to open during 2010.”
