In his new position, Wong will be responsible for advancing the organization’s patient-centered delivery of care for end-stage renal disease. Working closely with Satellite Healthcare’s CEO, Dr. Brigitte Schiller, Wong will coordinate quality improvements among all clinical and corporate stakeholders. He will also oversee enhancements of the company’s medical and clinical leadership by developing, implementing and monitoring clinical practices, therapies and services.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Leslie Wong join Satellite Healthcare,” said Schiller. “His track record in home dialysis in his prior position at Northwest Kidney Center and his focus on patient care make him a perfect fit for our organization. As we work towards a more comprehensive dialysis care model, Leslie’s expertise will help advance further our common goal to deliver individualized care to our patients.”
Following a residency and fellowship at the University of North Carolina, he became a Clinical Instructor at the University of Washington, and then a Department Chair at Minor and James Medical. Most recently, Wong served as Medical Director of the Peritoneal Dialysis Program at Northwest Kidney Centers.
“I am excited to join the team at Satellite and become part of an organization recognized as a leader in dialysis care,” said Wong. “Satellite’s dedication to improving patient education and outcomes as well as its commitment to quality in dialysis care provide a great opportunity, as the nephrology world incorporates new legislation and evolving scientific evidence in dialysis patient care.”
