LOS ALTOS, Calif.—MagicKitchen.com last month introduced its expanded menus of renal and dialysis-friendly meals, and today reported that throughout the year it will add 28 meals, because so many patients across the country have been placing orders.
In the menu expansion, the California-based company added 14 meals that meet the specific patients' dietary criteria.
"We worked diligently with our dieticians and culinary staff to create tasty and healthy meal options for renal and dialysis patients," said MagicKitchen.com CEO Greg Miller. "In the past, this group of people has had very little choice for prepared meal options at mealtime. We're offering more easy meal solutions for our ever growing lineup of tasty, nutritious and healthy special diet meals."
Now renal and dialysis patients can choose from a selection of meals that are low in sodium, potassium and phosphorus and tailored to fit their specific protein requirements. The menus include dishes such as braised beef brisket with green beans and wild rice; baked tilapia with lemon rice pilaf and grilled vegetables; and chicken marsala with pasta primavera.
Customer response to the expanded menus has been so encouraging that MagicKitchen.com has already committed to add 28 more meals throughout the year. "We plan to offer new meals for each of these meal categories so that both groups of people will have a multitude of choices that meet their dietary requirements," said Miller. "Before year-end we hope to offer over 50 different meals to choose from."
