The Tango system is designed to work automatically when the dialysis facility is closed, according to the company. The system flushes after each disinfection cycle to remove any residual ozone and endotoxin generated during the ozonation process. The reverse osmosis system is then prompted to refill the storage tank in preparation for the next scheduled dialysis treatments.
“Ozone has proven to be highly effective against bacteria, fungi and viruses while being extremely economical to operate, minimizing power and labor costs, and allowing more frequent scheduling of water system disinfections,” the company said in the news release.
Tango3 was formed by Hugh Doss of HDC Medical, Inc. and Kevin Gillespie of Isopure Inc.
