DENVER—Dialysis provider DaVita Inc. has launched a Spanish-language website.

“CKD education and awareness is at DaVita’s core,” explains DaVita Chairman and CEO Kent Thiry. “This website allows us to extend our educational reach to the Spanish-speaking population.”

Hispanics are among the top five ethnic groups at risk for CKD and are nearly two times as likely to develop kidney failure as Caucasians, according to DaVita.

The website features  educational information on kidney disease, information on stages of CKD, risk factors and prevention steps, treatment modality options, and recipes  for kidney-friendly meals and tips on how to manage a healthy diet while on dialysis.
