LISLE, Ill.―Nephrology Clinical Solutions, which offers education and training solutions for improving kidney care, has added Glenda Payne, MS, RN, CNN as director of clinical services, the organization reported. Payne spent nine years with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services as an end-stage renal disease technical advisor, conducting inspections of dialysis facilities and training surveyors based on the federally mandated Conditions for Coverage.
Prior to her work on the federal level, Payne served as the team leader for the Texas ESRD licensing program, providing training and mentoring for other surveyors and acting as a resource for the program operation. She also participated in the development and revision of the Texas ESRD licensing rules.
“Glenda’s expertise in Medicare regulations for dialysis, transplant programs, and hospitals uniquely qualifies her to provide guidance and practical solutions to medical staff,” said Sally Burrows-Hudson, vice president of NCS. “Given her roles working with providers, surveyors and Networks, Ms. Payne is proficient in helping disparate groups generate solutions to problems and promote new ideas. She has focused her efforts as a regulator to teach and assure there is mutual understanding of the regulations and, most important, the whys of those regulations.”
