LAKEWOOD, Colo.— Renal Ventures Management LLC announced Jan. 19 that it has acquired five chronic care dialysis clinics and negotiated eight acute dialysis contracts in southeast Texas.
"We make investments in people," said Larry Chatfield, CEO of Renal Ventures Management. "The teams at these clinics share our values, which ultimately will make this partnership a success for all of our stakeholders, patients, and employees as well as the communities we serve."
The clinics will be joint ventures between Renal Ventures Management and the clinics' medical directors.
"Renal Ventures was an optimal choice for a joint venture partner given its continued focus on placing patient care first and proactive collaboration with physician partners, which the physicians had come to expect. It is through these tenets that first-rate patient care will continue at our facilities," said Dr. Hervy Hiner, Member of SETNA Partners and Medical Director.
The addition of the five chronic care clinics located in Beaumont, Port Arthur, and Pinehurst, Texas brings the total number of Renal Ventures clinics in Texas to 16.
Dr. Raymond Derderian, owner of Beaumont Kidney Specialists and Medical Director, added, "Renal Ventures brings excellent systems and clinical protocols that will maintain the exemplary level of care provided at the clinics."
Renal Ventures owns and operates clinics in six states. With support from its investor, Goldman Sachs & Co., and syndicate manager, JPMorgan Chase & Co., the company is establishing joint ventures with hospitals and nephrologists across the country via acquisitions and new developments.
