CHICAGO—For the 13th year, CNA insurance companies presented its Safety in Excellence Award to Fresenius Medical Care North America, the North American operations of Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. KGaA. CNA's award recognizes a company's national leadership and dedicated commitment to employee health, safety, loss prevention and risk control. For more than a decade, Fresenius has demonstrated significant reductions in employee lost time injury rates.
Held at the global business insurer's home office in Chicago, the award presentation was made by Tom Motamed, chairman and chief executive officer of CNA, who congratulated Fresenius on its continued commitment to safety and risk control. Motamed was joined by other leaders from CNA, Fresenius, and Marsh, including: Larry Park, vice president of Corporate Health, Safety, Environmental Affairs, Engineering, Security and Risk Management, Fresenius; Eric Bishop, vice president of Finance, Administration, Fresenius; Wes Farish, senior vice president of Client Executive Practice, Marsh; Craig Mense, chief financial officer, CNA; Bill Boyd, senior vice president - Risk Control, CNA; Dave Rutkowski, senior vice president - Underwriting, CNA; and Bob Lindemann, president and chief operating officer, CNA Commercial.
"We are proud to distinguish Fresenius, a recognized world leader in dialysis services and products, as the only CNA insured to be honored a record 13 times with our Safety in Excellence Award," said Motamed.
