Call For Nominations 2013 AAKP Medal of Excellence Award

TAMPA, Fla.— The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) is accepting nominations for the 18th Annual AAKP Medal of Excellence Award. The award is given to a renal physician who demonstrates a commitment to patient care, and provides meaningful contributions to the kidney community. Nomination information and a submission form are available at www.aakp.org. The deadline for entries is Monday, Oct. 22, 2012.

The 2013 Medal of Excellence winner will be announced during the AAKP Medal of Excellence Award Dinner on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Marriott New Orleans on Canal Street in New Orleans, LA. The event is held in conjunction with the Renal Physician Association Annual Meeting. The Medal of Excellence is one of AAKP's most prestigious awards honoring a renal physician for his or her contributions to the renal community and dedication to a lifetime of quality patient care.

Patients, family members, caregivers and health care professionals are encouraged to nominate a renal physician who works tirelessly and exudes extraordinary skills and devotion to improve the quality of life of kidney patients. Self-nominations are also strongly encouraged. The award recipient is selected by a review panel of renal community leaders and health care professionals.

Visit www.aakp.org to download the nomination form. The award recipient is chosen on the basis of the information submitted.
