Tens of Thousands of DaVita Teammates and Guests Celebrate Another Year of Giving Life

DENVER—DaVita announced that the company hosted celebrations at hundreds of locations around the nation from October 19-21. The celebrations honored DaVita teammates' continued dedication to patient care and commitment to the company's mission and values.

DaVita  clinical outcomes have improved year over year since 2000, including an industry-leading, all-time high survival rate for the most recent year measured. DaVita Chief Wisdom Officer Steve Priest says that while improving patients’ survival rates is important, it’s not the only thing the company is celebrating.

“For DaVita patients, quality of life–contributing to family and community, being comfortable and living with dignity – is just as important as sustaining life itself,” Priest said. “DaVita teammates live our mission and values not only to support each other, but also so that our patients can have the fullest lives possible.”

Select awards were presented to teammates for their commitment to DaVita's core values - service excellence, integrity, team, continuous improvement, accountability, fulfillment and fun. Teammates also had the chance to commend each other for their exceptional work by writing thank-you notes that were read at their local celebrations.
